Bafana Bafana of South Africa triumphed over Gernot Rohr-led Benin Republic with a 2-1 win in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Durban on Saturday.

Notably, with the win, Bafana Bafana top Group C on three points, although Lesotho, Nigeria, Rwanda and Zimbabwe, all on one point each, are second, third, fourth and fifth respectively while Benin Republic occupy bottom spot.

Amazingly, Percy Tau gave Bafana the perfect start as he opened the scoring in the 2nd minute.
