Bayern Leverkusen flying winger, Nathan Tella has received his maiden call-up to represent Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has included the 25-year-old winger in his squad for these crucial games, marking a significant milestone in Tella’s international career.

Tella’s addition to the team comes as a direct replacement for the injured AC Milan forward, Samuel Chukwueze.

Former Southampton forward, born in England to Nigerian parents, recently expressed his eagerness to don the green and white colors of the three-time African champions.

He is a direct-playing winger, who creates, as well as scores goals.
