Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday were at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, for the first-leg clash of the African Football League (AFL) final, but were unlucky to concede their first goals of the competition, as they lost 2-1 to the Moroccan giants.

The Reds’ first goal was an own goal from midfielder Rivaldo Coetzee in the 41st minute after a nice breakthrough from Montassir Lahtimi, Africa Top Sports reports.
In the second half, Sundowns equalized with a penalty from Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil in the 74th minute.

But the Reds regained the advantage thanks to substitute Anas Serrhat who made a dramatic impact, coming off the bench to deliver a thunderous 78th-minute winner, as Wydad Athletic Club secured a narrow lead over South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.

The two teams will meet next Sunday in South Africa for the second leg of the African Football League final.
