The Cross River State Government has said arrangements have been completed for this year Calabar Carnival.

The state Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, disclosed this on Monday during a press conference at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre.

“We are fully ready for the 32-day fiesta the state government had approved the rebranding and robours rebranding programmes and implementation of key project,” Ekpang said.

He said the governor, Senator Bassey Out, had approved the re-establishement of the College of Agriculture, and the Training Academy with new concert in the Carnival Commission.

Also speaking, Special Adviser Event Management, Effiong Ekpeyong, said the Commission has introduced new concept at Millennium Park with interior decorations in the Central Senatorial district and Northern Senatorial district.

“The Carnival Commission is ready to set new record in this year Calabar Carnival. We are living no stone unturned to ensure a smooth Carnival,” he said, while, the Executive Secretary of the Cross River State Carnival Commission Austin Cobham, said this year Children Calabar Carnival will be sensored.
