It was all joy and celebration galore on Sunday, as the Delta State Government through the Ministry of Power and Energy under the leadership of Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, donated 300KVA transformer to Agbor-Nta Community in Ika South Local Government Area of the State, so as to consolidate on the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The transformer was received by the President of Agbor-Nta Community Worldwide, Elder Ndudi Don Agholor, popularly known as, Shettima, Executive Assistant to Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori on Women Mobilization, Ezinne Cecilia Ogbonyeri, the Ogisi of Agbor-Nta, Chief Augustine Ikpoza, the Treasurer of Agbor-Nta Community Union, Mr. Okafor Ogbe, Comr. Anthony Abanimoro, Mrs. Mabel and youths of the Community.
While receiving the 300KVA transformer, the President General of Agbor-Nta Community Union, Elder Ndudi Don Agholor expressed gratitude to God and the Delta State Government for deeming it fit and necessary to give 300KVA transformer to them, saying that it is worth celebrating.
“The Commissioner for Power and Energy promised us 300KVA Transformer to ensure steady power supply in Agbor-Nta and today, we gathered in receipt of the 300KVA transformer. The speedy response is highly appreciated. Agbor-Nta will work in synergy with the government.
“My emergence as President General of the Community has experienced a lot of development. The government should help us to construct the road that leads to our river. The river is rich in sand for construction”, Elder Ndudi stated.
He appreciated Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior for fulfilling his promise, Governor Oborevwori for his vision for the state and Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for being such a blessing to them. He also thanked Ika South Council Boss, Hon. Tatabuzogwu for modernizing the Cottage hospital in the Community, promising that the Community is ever ready to work with the government to achieve more developments.
On his part, the Executive Assistant to Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori on Women Mobilization, Ezinne Cecilia Ogbonyeri noted the donation of the transformer is a welcome development and they are happy to receive it. She thanked Delta Government for their kindness towards the community and Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for being a political father and mentor to her, praying to advance him in all areas of life.
Also speaking, the Ogisi of Agbor-Nta Community, Chief Augustine Ikpoza, and the Treasurer of Agbor-Nta Community Union, Mr. Okafor Ogbe who beamed with smiles and shouted for joy seeing transformer, noting that it is a good news that power supply is back to the Community. They stated that the transformer is safe and can’t be vandalized, as they will keep eyes on it. They thanked Shettima for being such a wonderful blessing to them and appreciated Delta Government through the office of Commissioner for Power and Energy, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior for their kindness toward them, praying God for more blessings on him and the Governor.
