Victor Boniface showed his quality as a fine striker after getting on the scoresheet as Bayer Leverkusen thrashed VfL Bochum 4-0 in the Bundesliga tie.

Boniface has continued to light up the German top flight league with goals and fantastic performances since his move from Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium.

On Wednesday evening at the Bay Arena, the Nigerian gave a good account of himself by scoring within two minutes of his introduction.

Czech international striker Patrick Schick had netted a hat-trick to take the tie beyond Bochum’s reach, with Xabi Alonso’s doing the dew.

Schick was, however, substituted with Boniface and the Super Eagles forward made a mark too, scoring as a super substitute to wrap up the heavy win.
