In a bid to ensure that intending pilgrims from Edo State meet the December 31 deadline for payment of the 2024 Hajj fare (Holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia), the chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Oyarekhua, has made a passionate call for sponsors’ support.

With the deadline looming, the chairman emphasized the critical need for financial assistance and sponsorship to enable intending pilgrims to fulfill their religious obligations without financial constraints. He stressed that the support from sponsors and well-meaning individuals or organizations would significantly contribute to easing the burden on potential pilgrims and facilitate their journey to Makkah comes 2024.

“Time is of the essence, and we are fervently calling on sponsors to join hands with us in supporting our intending pilgrims. Their sponsorship will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our brothers and sisters who desire to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in the year 2024 can do so without financial hindrances,” stated Oyarekhua.

The December 31 deadline stands as the cut-off for the submission of necessary documentation and fees for intending pilgrims.

The chairman whilst addressing some heads of Islamic organizations and imams in Edo North recently highlighted the importance of timely submissions to facilitate the necessary arrangements and preparations for a smooth and successful pilgrimage.
