The chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has sent a message of felicitation to Christians in the state on Christmas.

In the message he personally signed and made available to newsmen, Comrade Alenkhe described the season as a time when Christians should rededicate their lives in the service of God.

He said Christmas should be used as an avenue for people to forgive one another and spread the works and messages of the risen Christ.

Comrade Alenkhe prayed to God for a continuous and sustained peace in Edo State as he wished everyone especially friends of the media a fruitful and eventful 2024.

He reminded Journalists in Edo State of the need to remain neutral in their repotage as the 2024 governorship election in the state draws near.

Comrade Alenkhe assured that the Edo State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists will create a template for a robust situation room that would place the Edo journalists in better stead to effectively monitor and report all processes leading to the Edo Governorship poll in 2024 in line with ethics of the journalism profession.
