In a resolute stride towards advancing healthcare standards, the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (EDSPHCDA) recently held its third board meeting for 2023 in Benin City.

Guided by the visionary leadership of the EDSPHCDA Board Chairman, Dr. Felix Oghedegbe, the meeting became a hub for discussing important activities, addressing urgent issues, and planning for an improved 2024, where quality health services would become paramount for the people of Edo State.

Taking the center stage was the indefatigable Executive Secretary, Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen, wearing the hats of both Executive Secretary and Board Secretary shared a detailed report on the Agency’s activities, programs, and challenges faced. The report not only gave a quick look at where the Agency stands but also guided the Board’s decision-making process.

The Board, a mix of professionals from different fields, joined forces to tackle challenges, approve pending matters, and brainstorm on staff well-being. A key focus was figuring out how the Agency could secure the necessary resources to better serve the people of Edo in 2024.

They strategized on how to grab opportunities that would promote the Agency. Through all these deliberations, the meeting’s goal was clear: to empower EDSPHCDA in fulfilling its mission of improving the health outcomes of the people it serves.

steer healthcare progress for the community’s wellbeing.
