Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC) has held its 2023 nine lessons and carols tagged “Nine Lessons and Carols Extra-Ordinary” for management and staff of the Commission.
The event, which took place at the Commission’s premises in Benin City, had in attendance various dignitaries from all walks of life.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, EDSOGPADEC, Mr. Toritseju Onaiwu, described Christmas as a season of joy and gladness as it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who came to redeem man back to God.
He urged everyone to imbibe the spirit of love, expressing joy for the unity and togetherness that existed among staff of the Commission.
Dignitaries took turns to read the nine Bible lessons while the Christmas carols were rendered by the El-Excess Chorale.
The event was rounded off with an end-of-year party for participants who joyfully appreciated God for causing them to witness another year’s end.
