Remo Stars of Ikenne recorded a stunning 1-0 victory against holders Enyimba in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPLF) in Aba on Wednesday night.

The People’s Elephant started the game with full confidence after they recorded two consecutive victories and the most recent was the win against Bendel Insurance of Benin. The victories propelled the current champions to fifth position on the NPFL table.

However, the hosts who dominated the game from the start were unable to overpower Remo Stars.

Despite the pressure, former Lobi Stars forward, Samad Kadiri, nodded home the the much-needed winning goal from Sodiq Ismail’s assist in the 34th minute.
