Wife of the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Catherine Onyeme, has urged Nigerians, especially Deltans, to be at peace with one another, share love and be patient in the yuletide season, just as she called for understanding with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration.

Onyeme, who made the appeal at the Children Christmas Party organized by Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Asaba, hinted that peace and love propel positivity, and that no matter the challenges faced, peace and love remained the only solution to move forward.

She enjoined all and sundry to imbibe and remember the importance of unity, love, care, which she noted was the spirit of Christmas.

Onyeme also tasked the children to be optimistic in whatever they do in the society, reminded them that they are the leaders of tomorrow.

Earlier, the permanent secretary, Ministry of Information, Lucky Omokri, who chaired the occasion, commended DBS for putting up such a platform where children merry and have fun, meet their peers and cross-fertilize ideas.

Omokri, who enjoined parents to take their wards happiness as priority, also hinted that it is the responsibility of every parent to make their ward happy, by showing them love, care and build in good morals in them.

He commended Onyeme, for finding time to celebrate with children despite her schedule.

Dignitaries that attended the occasion included Rose Ezewu, Honorable Commissioner for Education (Secondary) who was represented by Dr. Joyce Ogu and the member representing Ika Federal Constituency on the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Cordelia Anyagwu, amongst others.
