Holders Senegal secured top spot in Group C on Tuesday, at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Guinea 2-0 in a highly anticipated tie.

Senegal progress from the group stage as the only side with a 100% record.

From the very start, it was evident that the match would be a fierce competition. The players demonstrated their various abilities, with their passes, and launching powerful shots towards the goal.

Defending champions Senegal managed to break the deadlock with a stunning goal in 61st minute of play which was the second half into the game scored by Abdoulaye Seck with Krepil Diatta’s assist, however Guinea refused to back down and launched a series of counterattacks, testing Senegal’s defense.

The match ended with a final score of 2-0 in favor of Senegal with the second goal scored at 90 minutes by LLIMAN NDIAYE and assisted by SADIO MANÉ.

The victory was met with celebrations from the home team and their fans.

Despite victory from Senegal it wasn’t an easy play because both countries had two yellow cards and Guinea’s players tried their best in displaying good sportsmanship and resilience, despite the outcome.
