… thrash Igbale FC 3-0 on penalties

The 2nd edition of the Oke One Ora Development Forum Football Tournament has come and gone but the memories of the event will linger for a long time to come.

The event which held at Owato Primary School Sports Ground, Oke One Ora, in Owan west Local Government Area of Edo State, saw a highly contested final match between Settlers FC and Igbale FC, which ended goaless at regulation time.

Settlers FC went on to win the keenly contested encounter 3-0 on penalties to take home the coveted trophy, while Ukpasikan FC clinched the 3rd spot.

At the end of the well attended ceremony, an elated coordinator and representative of the Oke One Ora development forum, Freeborn Ijeboi Eguaomon thanked it’s members and Oke One Ora community for their support.

“Let me thank members of this great forum for their wonderful support towards this end of year event for our people back home, it is our own little way to give back. I am happy it was a success, we give God all the glory, Freeborn stated.

The tournament winners were presented with medals, individual awards, cash and trophy, witnessed by Owan West PDP Chairman, Engr. David Aigbodion and some members of the forum.

The annual event sponsored by the Oke One Ora Development Forum during the period, also organised a free medical outreach for the elderly and the sick in the community. There was Christian crusade and distribution of palliatives to every home in Oke One Ora community.

Oke One Ora Development Forum is a group of like minded Okelites all over the world with passion, and agenda for socio – economic, physical and spiritual development of Oke One Ora community and her people at heart.

The forum seek to project Oke One Ora in a positive and progressive light and disabuse the minds of those with contrary views and negative perception.
