Afrobeat star and DMW label record owner, David Adeleke a.k.a. Davido, has expressed his sincere gratitude to Atletico Madrid player Memphis Depay for gifting him a Rolex wristwatch.
Depay’s gift to the singer comes after he performed at the footballer’s celebration. The 30-year-old Dutch forward of Ghanaian descent recently celebrated his birthday that was graced by a host of players and music artists in the likes of Paul Pogba, his teammate Antoine Griezmann, American singer Chris Brown, and Nigerian music star, Davido.
The 31-year-old music artist expressed his gratitude on social media, highlighting that he rarely receives gifts but is usually the one giving them.
“Depay bought me a @rolex on his own birthday!!! I never receive gifts I’ve always been the one to gift Pple! I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay..also lemme get some of that hair Lool.”
The former Olympique Lyon forward frequently displays his affection for Afrobeats music and occasionally shares tracks he’s been enjoying on social media. Nigerian artists and others across Africa such as Ghanaian star, popularly known as Black Sheriff, rank high among the favourite artists of the Netherlands star.
