…..urge Tinubu to resolve hunger crisis
The Obedient Movement Worldwide has purchased Edo Governorship nomination form for Dr. (Mrs.) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor to uplift the participation of women in politics.
The movement also appealed to President Bola Tinubu to quickly find a way to resolve the hunger and poverty situation in the country.
Speaking during a press conference held in Abuja, the Director, Political, Obedient Movement Worldwide, Dr. Barry Avotu Johnson asked the Federal Government to find a way to resolve the hunger and poverty situation in the country which can lead to unrest.
He disclosed that the Obedient Movement Worldwide has thrown its support behind a female governorship aspirant in the 2024 gubernatorial election in Edo State to ensure that the Nigerian woman has a strong value to participate in politics.
According to him, “We want to uplift the agenda for women to participate and build women capacity in politics, that is why we are presenting the Labour Party Edo State governorship expression of interest and nomination form to Dr. Ogboro-Okor who is a medical doctor from Oredo Local Government Area in Edo State.
“This is our aspirant for the reformation of Edo State. Let us give opportunity to the women in Politics. We want to make sure the Nigeria woman has strong value to participate in Politics.”
The female governorship hopeful of the Labour Party in Edo State, Dr. (Mrs.) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor expressed appreciation to the Obedient Movement Worldwide for their support and presentation of the expression of interest and nomination forms to her.
She promised to uphold the fundamental principles of the Labour Party in Edo State and to establish a legacy that will be admired by other states.
“My record as a loyal and obedient individual is impeccable. I have gained the trust of the party with the design of the Health Manifesto, which is traceable to the Presidential election of 2023. I am delighted and humbled to have been selected by the Obedient Movement Worldwide to be the preferred candidate for governorship primaries of the party.”
She was also presented with the Labour Party T-Shirt, which was the first time the Obedient Movement Worldwide is making such presentation and giving such recognition to anyone during the ceremony.
