The organizers of the award uploaded the announcement on their social media page.
“Stay calm, @heisrema will be performing at the #BRITs 2024, let’s go,” Brits Awards wrote via X.
Rema will become the second Nigerian artiste to perform at the Brits Awards, following Burna Boy as the first who performed at the award ceremony in 2018.
This announcement led to the reminisce of Burna Boy and Asake nominations in the star-studded International Artist of the Year category, and Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ being nominated in the highly coveted International Song of the Year category at the 2024 Brits Awards.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in London on March 2, 2023, and Nigerians anticipate this event with hope of these music artists winning in their nominated categories as Nigeria has not produced a Brits Award winner yet.
