In a bid to support, motivate, and encourage the Super Eagles of Nigeria to produce more prolific performances at the ongoing AFCON 2023 tourney, Africa’s richest Man -Aliko Dangote, Bayelsa State Government and Zenith Bank have given various cash rewards to the team.

SCORENigeria reports that Dangote has given the Jose Peseiro side N100 million for going past Angola and reaching the AFCON semifinal.

It was also reported that the Bayelsa State Government had already donated $40,000 to the team, which has already been shared, while Zenith Bank gave them a cash gift of N40 million.

As Super Eagles battle for their place in the finals at AFCON 2023, they are expected to receive more cash rewards and incentives.

There are reports that some of the players received payment alert of $12,500 for the team’s 2-0 win over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the AFCON Round of 16.

The players are also due $30,000-a-man for going past the group stage of the tournament.

The team await a backlog of unpaid bonuses and allowances running as far back as 2021 to be cleared soon.
