The Odionwere of Ugbine Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Pa Usiobaifo Osayande, according to Benin Traditional rites, has installed Uhunoma Osarenkhoe Omoruyi as the Okhaighele of Ugbine Community.

Elders and youths of Ugbineh Community converged on the Ogwedion known as the elder’s synagogue for the traditional rights of the installation of Uhunoma Osarenkhoe Omoruyi, popularly known as the Orhohomila, as Okhaighele of the Ugbineh Community. The Odionwere of Ugbineh Community, Pa Usiobaifo Osayande, in company with the second in command, Pa Gaius Osaiwhinda, offered prayers and made libations according to the tradition and custom of Benin.

During the installation ceremony, Pa Usiobaifo Osayande said, “I offer prayers for this community, and also dissolve the former executives.”

According to the announcement of the Odionwere, Uhunoma Osarenkhoe Omoruyi is the Okaighele to be assisted by Augustine Edigin as the Deputy Okaighele, Gabriel Osayande as Secretary while Liberty Efe Miller will serve as Public Relations Officer (PRO).

“I appoint Uhunoma Osarenkhoe Omoruyi as the new Okaighele of Ugbine Community,” he stated.

In an interview, the Odionwere, the Okiagele, and some residents expressed satisfaction for the event.

“As the Odionwere of Ugbine community, I and the elders will work with the new Okaighele,” Pa Usiobaifo Osayande said.

In his response, the new Okaighele emphasised, “Members of the public are advised to deal with the Odionwere and the new Okaighele.”

On his part, Liberty Efe Miller, the PRO, said, “We will support the decision of the Odionwere.”
