The University of Benin 5-A side match saw Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) make an incredible comeback against Ekenhuan FC, securing a 2-1 victory in a game filled with impressive moments.

The game started with high energy, and both teams displayed their eagerness to win. Shina, who was playing for BMS, created the first notable opportunity of the match, but he was unlucky not to score as his shot went wide of the target and hit the side net.

Despite Ekehuan FC’s good ball control, they struggled to create chances in the first half, and their goalkeeper, Abel, had little to do as BMS’s defence was solid.

Ekenhuan FC in the 35th minute came close with a scoring opportunity through their centre forward Rector who drilled in a fabulous strike outside the 18-yard box.

However, BMS capitalized on a defensive confusion by the Ekehuan FC defenders, which gave BMS player Chekube a scoring advantage which he took and scored an impressive goal. The first half ended with both teams leveled at 1-1.

BMS side came into the second half with more vigor as they were creating more goal-scoring opportunities. BMS continued to pile on the pressure, and their efforts finally paid off when Shina scored the winning goal with a low-powered drive in the 85th minute. The goal was met with wild celebrations from the BMS players and fans alike.

Despite the loss, Ekenhuan FC will be looking to bounce back in their next game. BMS, on the other hand, moves to the top spot in Group B with six points, and their exceptional performance will surely boost their confidence going forward.
