Goals from Loveth Edeh, Motunrayo Ezekiel, Chioma Olise and an own goal were just right enough to get past their West African counterpart

The Falconets had started their campaign on a winning note as they defeated Morocco 2-0 last Friday in their opening game.

The Nigeria U20 ladies who are also defending champions continued in similar fashion, crushing Senegal 4-0 to record all important six points from two games and qualify as group winners also.

In another match, the Nigeria U20 Men’s football team at the ongoing African Games in Accra Ghana bounced back to winning ways on Monday as one goal was enough to pick up all important three points against a strong defensive and determined South Sudan side.

The Flying Eagles commenced their campaign with a disappointing 2-1 loss against Uganda leaving their hopes of a second round qualification hanging in the balance.

Sadiq Isiyiaka, who scored Nigeria’s only goal against Uganda, converted from the spot to give the Flying Eagles a 1-0 win.

The team will now shift their attention to their final game against Senegal to slug it out for a qualification ticket to the next round.
