A Nigerian Afrobeat star, Dean Kelechi Nwokocha, popularly known as DeanKelly, made an impressive outing at an American musical show tagged “SXSW Afrobeats Showcase” held on March 15, 2024 at Flamingo Cantina stage in Austin, Texas.

In the light of Afrobeat’s increasing popularity in the United States, the Nigerian-born US-based afrobeat crooner, alongside other Nigerian acts brought electrifying live performances to the US audience, representing the versatility of Nigerian music genre, a unique blend of Afrobeat, Amapiano, R&B, funk, and highlife to the Flamingo Cantina stage.

At the show, DeanKelly wowed the audience, featuring his most popular singles, from ‘Loyal, Ginika, to Wonda’ with an impressive performance that reflects his vibrant rhythms and soulful melodies.

According to audience accounts, his performance and appearance as the headline artiste at the SXSW Show involved performing at one of Austin’s renowned live music venues in front of industry players, media, fans, and music lovers, that also got him an SXSW trending for 2 days on X space.
