As the Edo State governorship election draws near, a London-based diaspora group, IGHODALO CHOICE 2024, has called on all eligible voters to look at the track records of Barr. Asue Ighodalo, which makes him the well-preferred man to govern Edo State when voting for the next governor, September this year.
The diaspora group, in a statement signed by Dr. Peter Uwaibi Esq. and Barr. Nick Omhenke, also commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for conducting a peaceful, transparent process to nominate Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the flag bearer of the party.
“Judging from Barr. Ighodalo’s intelligible existing track records, coupled with his enviable intimidating profile, he becomes easily the preferred man to govern the state and we are advising him to be well focused and concentrate maximum efforts towards alleviating the suffering of the people when he becomes governor.
“We also commend and applaud Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration for the recent 750 barrels of crude received from the Oza Oil fields, and the huge strides in the oil sector after Edo modular refineries hit a height of 300,000 barrels of crude order,” they said.
Dr Uwaibi further affirmed that the group, “IGHODALO CHOICE 2024, will render all necessary assistance and support to the Ighodalo campaign to ensure the best man takes over the mantle of leadership from the most diligent indefatigable Godwin Obaseki in an election that will be monitored by international observers to ensure a democratically fair hitch-free elections,” the statement noted.
