Super Eagles’ new number-one goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has been given the green light for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly matches against Ghana’s Black Stars and Mali later this month.
Recall that Nwabali sustained an injury during the Premier Soccer League (PSL) game between his South African club, Chippa United, and the League’s giants, Mamelodi Sundowns last week Saturday, which they lost 2 -0
Nwabali was forced to leave the pitch during the game at 73min, as the injury raised serious doubts on his availability for the friendlies against the Black Stars and Eagles.
Remarkably, to the delight of sports fans in Nigeria, the 27-year-old has been cleared for the international friendly games against Ghana and Mali later in march.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) runner-up are set for face off against their close neighbours, Ghana, and Mali on the 22nd and 26th of March respectively in Marrakech, Morocco.
