Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has set up a screening committee to screen governorship aspirants.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Saturday in Abuja.

Ologunagba stated that the screening will take place on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at the NWC Hall PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja at 10 am prompt.

“The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has setup the Ondo screening committee for the purpose of screening all the Governorship Aspirants for the upcoming Governorship primary election in Ondo State,” Ologunagba said.

“The screening is schedules as follows, Date: Wednesday March 27, 2024. Venue: NWC Hall PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja. Time: 10 am prompt .

“Members of the screening committee are, H.E. Sen. Dr Sam Egwu (Chairman), Sen Isa Shauibu Lau (Member), Chief Emmanuel Ogidi (Member), Barr. Mrs Olivia Dazyman (Member), Barr. Tanko Beji (Member), Amb. Mrs Gladys Ashemuke (Member), Chief Rahman Owokoniran (ZW-ZS) (Secretary), Caroline Akinsete (Administrative Secretary).

“All Governorship Aspirants, critical stakeholders, leaders and members of our Party in Ondo State are to take note and be guided accordingly,” he said.

Meanwhile, PDP aspirants who purchased forms are former state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi; Akinwumi Adeolu, Bamidele Akingboye Olusola Ebiseni, Kolade Akinjo, Bosun Arebuwa, and John Mafo.
