Nigeria international Victor Osimhen netted a hat-trick in the reigning Serie A champions 6-1 demolition of Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium on Wednesday night.

Uros Racic gave the hosts the lead in the 13th minute, while Amir Rrahmani equalised for Napoli 12 minutes later.

Osimhen then took centre stage handing Napoli the lead for the first time in the game a minute after the half hour mark.

The Nigeria international scored two more goals for the Serie A champions in the 41 and 47 minutes, respectively.

The 25-year-old set up Kvicha Kvaratskhelia for the fifth goal five minutes after the break.

He was replaced by Giovanni Simeone 14 minutes from time.
