The Delta State Ministry of Justice has approved a Mobile Court for Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency (WUEDA) to prosecute environment law offenders in the area.

The Director-General of the Agency, Prince Godwin Ejinyere, disclosed this when he led a delegation of the Agency to visit the management of Uvwie Local Government Council, Effurun.

Prince Ejinyere told the acting chairman of the council, Mrs. Juliana Manager, who is the Head of Personnel Management that five magistrates had been assigned to the Agency, while a taskforce would be set up in a week’s time to work with the Mobile Court.

Hon. Ejinyere noted that the local government would need to assign some of its health and environment officers to be incorporated into the taskforce for more effective enforcement.

He said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was determined to improve the aesthetics of Warri, Uvwie and their environs through the Agency.
