In a momentous Ramadan Special Programme held by the Da’wah Movement and Enlightenment Forum, DMEF, Alhaji (Chief) Shaibu the esteemed leader of Uzairue kingdom, and Hajia (Queen) Jelilah Omogbai, the revered Queen of Uzairue kingdom, were both bestowed with distinguished awards for their exemplary contributions to the Islamic community.

Alhaji Shaibu, revered as the Ameerul Mu’mineen of Uzairue kingdom and the Chief Imuebe of Uzairue, was lauded for his unwavering dedication to the Islamic faith.

During the citation of Chief Shaibu at the event which held in Jattu Uzairue Kingdom in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, Mallam Sadiq Zekeriyah, the President and Founder of the DMEF highlighted Chief Shaibu’s pivotal role in the establishment of a mosque venue for DMEF. Not only did Chief Shaibu generously donate the land for the mosque, but he also rallied his children to contribute to its construction.

Expressing gratitude, Chief Shaibu, who was honoured with the title of “The Grand Leader of Islam remarked, “I particularly commend the founder and leader for the passion which he brings to bear on numerous Islamic causes. May Allah keep him strong and long in good health and resources in this divine mission.”

He further praised the rapid transformation of the new mosque site, emphasizing its magnificence and the innovative fundraising approach employed.

In a parallel acknowledgment of her esteemed contributions, Hajia Jelilah Omogbai was bestowed with the esteemed title of the Mother of Good Mothers, underscoring her significant role in fostering community welfare and cohesion.

The presentation of the award was conducted on behalf of DMEF by the former Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Mallam Hassan Abubakar, adding a touch of institutional prestige to the ceremony.

Mallam Sadiq Zekeriyah, in his closing remarks, urged all Muslim youths to intensify their efforts in spreading the teachings of Islam, emphasizing the importance of collective action in advancing the faith.

The ceremony where food items including rice, beans, tea, milk, sugar were distributed to Muslims served as a testament to the dedication and commitment of individuals like Chief Alhaji Shuaib and Hajia Jelilah Omogbai, who continue to inspire and uplift their communities through their exemplary service and leadership.
