Afrobeats sensation Mayorkun, known for hits like “Geng” and “Mama,” has issued a stern warning to social media influencer Precious Kingsley, also known as Nicki Dabarbie, over alleged defamatory statements. Dabarbie accused Mayorkun and fellow musician Skiibii of plotting a sinister “money ritual,” triggering a legal standoff.

The controversy unfolded on April 19, 2024, when Dabarbie took to her Instagram account to allege that Mayorkun and Skiibii conspired to use her for occult purposes. She shared videos from Skiibii’s residence and a hospital, insinuating harm and rituals. In response, Mayorkun’s legal team, Monarchs and Stroud, swiftly crafted a demand letter.

The letter demanded Dabarbie to retract her claims within 24 hours, issue public apologies on social media and in national newspapers, cease all defamatory actions, and pay a staggering N1 billion in damages. These demands demonstrated the seriousness with which Mayorkun and his team are addressing the allegations.
