…to do more in winning, saving souls

General Overseer of Christ Chosen Church of God International, Most Snr. Apostle Dr David Unuefe-Ikhuiwu, has warned against the growing competition common with some people within the christiandom, saying that women as agent of social change in the society can do more by channelling their energies towards the pursuit of winning and saving more souls from the world.

He made the declaration during the five-day annual International Women’s Convention with the theme “The Glory of Christ,” admonishing the women to always embrace the spirit of self-awareness, humility, in resisting and fighting against the spirit of arrogance and ignorance that have destroyed many people in world.

Speaking further, he urged the congregation to always put their trust in God as the only way out in the face of the growing economic challenges in the nation, adding that God favoured the Israelites in Goshen sheltered by divine providence while the Egyptians faced calamities as they did not know God.

He urged participants at the convention to always put their faith in God in every situation, adding that wandering from church to church in search of miracle would not liberate them but rather confront their challenges with the true teachings of the scriptures.

On her part, the co-ordinator-general, Chosen Women Fellowship International, and wife of the spiritual leader, Mrs Maltida Unuefe, while addressing the women at the convention, harped on the need to address pressing concerns leading to marital strife and societal pressures faced by women.
