The Arewa Community in Edo State has endorsed the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie for the September 21, 2024 governorship election in the state.

The endorsement took place at the PDP secretariat when the Arewa Community PDP paid a courtesy visit to the state Chairman of the party, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi.

The visit was to congratulate the Chairman on his safe release from the kidnappers’ den, as well as introduce Sarahaisu Usman as the acting Chairman of PDP Arewa Community.

Leader of the Arewa delegation and President General of Arewa Forum, Alhaji Sahabi Aliu Umaru, expressed the community’s commitment to ensuring that Ighodalo and Ogie emerge the next Edo State governor and deputy, respectively.

As part of the Arewa Community’s readiness to work for the victory of PDP at the poll, Alhaji Umaru said that Usman has been appointed as acting Chairman of Arewa Community PDP to take over from Sanni Muhammed who has been in office as Chairman for 16 years without conducting election.
