Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Mr Chris Nehikhare, has said that an action plan with key stakeholders will be set in motion to fight against food poisoning by unscrupulous persons.

The Commissioner, who disclosed this when the Association of LiveStock Managers and Food Product Dealers paid him a courtesy visit in his office, noted that people’s lives can not be left in the hands of unscrupulous people any more.

“The Ministry has been collaborating with the Association in the past through Jingles to sensitize the people on the dangerous and scary trend. We are going to have an action plan to do more by collaborating with other key stakeholders like the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Public Safety and security.

“We as a Ministry, when the action plan is set up, are going to give the publicity because it is very important that this menace is tackled to expose those behind it,” the Commissioner said.
