The Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia has empowered farmers across the 10 wards in Egor Local Government Area.
The chairman who gave incentives to the farmers as a way of encouragement urged the farmers to cooperate with the government in making sure that the state has sufficient farm produce.
The event which took place at the Local Government Secretariat auditorium on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 had in attendance counselors representing the 10 wards in Egor Local Government including farmers across the LGA.
The Chairman emphasized the need for farmers within Egor Local Government to be verified and profiled in the farmers’ list for empowerment. She therefore urged the farmers to provide their details for onward assessment.
Stakeholders present at the meeting included Iguedayi Community farmers and Owina river-based farmers amongst others.
The Chairman thereafter urged the farmers to take the message to other farmers within Egor LGA who are yet to be registered with the council to be captured in the government empowerment programme.
