Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi scored in a 5-0 thrashing of Southampton in the Championship League on Tuesday night.

Ndidi has scored in consecutive matches for the Foxes, bringing his total to four goals in 30 League appearances.

The Super Eagles midfield star was substituted with eight minutes remaining, while Joe Aribo was withdrawn for Southampton in the 83rd minute.

Abdul Fatawu netted a hat-trick as Leicester routed Southampton 5-0, bringing them within reach of promotion back to the Premier League on Tuesday.

The defeat dashed Southampton’s hopes of automatic promotion, leaving them to regroup for the playoffs.

Leicester now sit four points ahead of Leeds, with both teams having two matches left to play and they would need one more victory from their final two games to secure a spot in the Championship’s top two.

Despite a recent stumble, Leicester seem to have regained their form just in time.

Vardy demonstrated his finishing prowess at 37 years old, adding a fourth goal with a well-placed shot past McCarthy.

Fatawu completed his hat-trick and wrapped up the scoring with assistance from Vardy.
