Nottingham Forest has decided to trigger a one-year contract extension for Ola Aina following his impressive inaugural season at the club.
The 27-year-old defender, who arrived on a free transfer last summer, initially signed a one-year deal.
His impressive contributions to the team have earned him another season at the City Ground.
Aina, a Nigeria international, has left a mark on the pitch with his versatility and defensive prowess. In his 13 league appearances for the Tricky Trees, he has managed to find the back of the net once, showcasing his impact beyond just defense.
His latest display was in Forest’s convincing 3-1 victory against Fulham on Tuesday, where he once again proved his worth on the field.
Before joining Forest, Aina had stints at reputable clubs including Chelsea, Hull City, and Torino, accumulating experience and honing his skills along the way.
