Novak Djokovic continues to rewrite ATP rankings history by surpassing a record previously held by Roger Federer, while Ben Shelton secures a career-high ranking following his victory in Houston.

Djokovic maintains a comfortable lead of 1,015 points over world No. 2 Jannik Sinner, with a total of 9,725 points at the pinnacle of the rankings. Furthermore, he holds a significant 1,080-points advantage over third-ranked Carlos Alcaraz.

Although Djokovic has participated in only three tournaments in 2024, including the United Cup, the Australian Open, and the Indian Wells Masters, he has extended his remarkable streak of weeks at the top of the world rankings to an astonishing 420 weeks.

At 36 years old, the Serbian athlete has achieved another milestone by surpassing his long-time rival Federer to become the oldest player in ATP history to hold the world No. 1 ranking.

Roger Federer previously held the distinction of being the oldest player to reach the top of the ATP Rankings, achieving this feat at the age of 36 years, 10 months, and 16 days on June 24, 2018, marking his final day in the top spot.

The 21-year-old American has ascended to a career-high ranking of world No. 14, improving from his previous position of 16th before the tournament.
