Adam Idah secured a 1-0 victory for Celtic against Glasgow rivals Rangers on Saturday, scoring a 90th-minute winner to lift the Scottish Cup and complete a League and Cup double.

In a match characterized by scrappy play, the decisive moment came from an error when Jack Butland failed to hold onto Paulo Bernardo’s shot, allowing Idah to capitalize and score his ninth goal of the loan spell from Norwich.

“I said I’d come here to try and score as many goals as I could, I didn’t think I’d score a goal like this in front of all these fans. It’s an amazing feeling.

“It’s hard to put into words. Anyone here can see what it means to the fans, to the players. I’ve always supported Celtic, it’s amazing!,” said Idah, who only made the move to Glasgow in January

Rangers believed they had grabbed the lead earlier in the second half when Abdallah Sima tapped in a corner at the far post.

However, following a VAR review, Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart was spared in what turned out to be the final game of his career, as the former England international was found to have been pushed by Nico Raskin.
