Bendel Insurance FC on Sunday narrowly missed the opportunity of securing their first away win of the season in the Matchday 33 game of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at Sunshine Stars as the match ended 0-0 in Akure Township Stadium.

The teams laboured to outwit each other but their efforts did not yield any goal till the 90th minute when the match officials added seven extra minutes to the duration of the high tempo game.

In the 97th minute of the game, Insurance had a counter attack initiated by Michael Enaruna, connecting Vincent Okeke with a swift pass who did not waste time in setting up the finishing touches for Divine Nwanchukeu whose last grasp effort was parried off the goal mouth by Sunshine goalkeeper Ariyo David.

Insurance have been unbeaten in any league match since after their home loss to Niger Tornadoes and currently occupied 10th position on the log with 46 points.

The Benin Arsenals are host to Katsina Utd on Saturday, June 1, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
