Remo Stars defender, Sadiq Ismail is in high spirits following his first call-up to the Super Eagles.
Ismail is one of the 23 players selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
The right-back earned his invitation due to his impressive performances for Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.
The 22-year-old has provided 10 assists for the Sky Blue Stars this season.
He celebrated the invitation on social media.
“I’m thrilled to receive my first national team call-up! I’m eager to give my all and make a strong contribution.
“I am most grateful and thanks to the @thenff and the coaching crew of the @NGSuperEagles for the opportunity,” Sadiq wrote on X.
