Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Maria Edekor, Tuesday performed a foundation laying ceremony for the perimeter fencing of Ebhoiyi Demonstration Primary School and Idumu-Egelean Primary School in Esan North East Constituency 2, as part of her constituency projects.
In her speech at the event, the Edo Assembly Deputy Speaker commends her constituents for their support for her prior, during and after the last House of Assembly election in the state, noting that the overwhelming support she keeps enjoying is priceless.
Hon. Edekor reiterates her total commitment towards constituency development as she promised to always pay adequate attention to the needs and aspirations of her people.
While performing the foundation laying ceremony for the perimeter fencing of the two primary schools, Hon. Edekor stressed on the need to keep the school environments safe and secure for children to learn, noting that the fencing of the schools will help prevent cows and other intruders from gaining access to the premises.
The Edo Assembly Deputy Speaker, who highlighted some of her contributions in her constituency in particular and the local government in general, also assured her constituents and the good people of the entire local government of more constituency projects across the various wards of the local government.
During the event, Hon. Maria Edekor rallied support for the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie, urging everyone to support and vote for the duo as candidates of the party in the forthcoming guber election.
She emphasized on the need for PDP to retain power come September 21, stating that, for her and other elected members under the umbrella of the PDP to continue to build on the successes recorded so far, all hands must be on deck to massively vote PDP in the coming guber election.
The event was graced by so many notable and prominent personalities, and party leaders. Some of these personalities include Bishop Anthony Okosun – Edo Central PDP Senatorial Chairman; Hon. Kelly Inedegbor – Esan North East Council Chairman, and Hon. Patrick Iluobe, among others.
