Rena Wakama, the head coach of the African champions D’Tigress, has expressed confidence in the team’s performance as they continue their training in a new camp in Germany ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Speaking with NBBF media, Wakama shared, “Things have been going well in the camp over the last few days. We’ve had excellent practice sessions, and the girls are in great spirits.
“The girls are responding well to training and improving every day. That’s what matters.”
Wakama, who guided D’Tigress to a record-tying fourth Afrobasket title in Rwanda last year, added, “I’m confident the girls will showcase their talents in Paris. I’m excited and looking forward to the games.”
The team is scheduled to play a friendly game against Germany in Berlin on July 19, followed by matches against Serbia in Belgrade on July 21 and Japan in Lille, France, on July 24.
