The Edo State Government has congratulated His Royal Highness, Dele Obaitan, on his ascension as the Olososo of Ososo.
In a statement, the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., assured the traditional ruler of the government’s support to enable him effectively discharge his duties and advance the interest of the people of Ososo.
He said, “I heartily felicitate with you, His Royal Highness Prince Dele Obaitan on your ascension to the exalted throne of your forefathers.
“We trust in your ability to build upon the foundations laid by your father, the Olososo of Ososo, Oba Anselm Adeloro Obaitan, Ichama II, JP, after his 32-year stint on the throne, and benevolently steer Ososo and its people on the path of growth development.”
Ogie further noted, “We are confident that you will bring your experience to bear, having diligently served with grace and dedication as the former Commissioner for Tourism, Culture, and Diaspora Affairs.
“As a government, we assure you of our relentless support and partnership as you lead the cause of advancing the interest and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Ososo and its people.”
He added, “On behalf of the Government and the people of Edo State as well as the members of the State Executive Council, I heartily congratulate you and pray that peace, progress, and prosperity will be the hallmark of your reign. Accept my hearty congratulations.”
