In a bid to seek the face and intervention of God concerning the upliftment of Etsako Central Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon. Solomon Obomighie, in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Etsako Central Local Government chapter, have organized a mid-year prayer session at the council’s secretariat.

Speaking at the event, the local government chairman thanked the leadership of CAN for collaborating with the council to organize such an event for staff of the local government.

The chairman, who was represented by the vice chairman, Hon. Fidelis Aigbaza, thanked the CAN for giving them the opportunity for the prayer session, saying it is not as easy as no one can function without God, as we need Him to move forward and to give us wisdom that was given to King Solomon to lead his people.

According to him, “we are the representative of the people of Etsako Central communities and by doing that, we need God’s strength, guidance and to direct us in our time and tenure, so that the local government will experience a new different thing in terms of growth, empowerment and others”.

He specifically thanked all the ministers of God for honouring the invitation, saying that the prayer session is a plant planted in the local government for this time, which will continue to grow.

The chairman noted that the prayers have touched everywhere that needed to be touched because God said “when you asked, it shall be given and when you knock, the door will be opened”, adding that we have used the prayer session today to ask God to continue giving us what we need to develop the people of the local government and by doing what I’m sure will glorify God.

He equally thanked the staff for coming out for the prayers, adding that the prayer session is not only for the chairman and all the elected members alone, but noted that without the staff, we can not equally move forward too, hence, we need the staff to be healthy and up and doing, and to get whatever they need that will make them to function very well.
