The only pre-season football tournament in Akwa Ibom State is ready to produce a new champion on Thursday, 18 July 2024 when Eagle Eye FC clashes with New Flame Sports Academy at the Uyo Township Stadium.
Immortality FC boss, Coach Ubong James, organizer of the pre-season football tournament said he is thankful for the success of the event and individual support so far. He expressed satisfaction with the 16 clubs who started the football competition two weeks ago.
“The tournament has been successful by any standards. We started with 16 teams and two groups. Today we are going into the finals with familiar teams who played last edition finals.
I thank God for His Faithfulness and I really appreciate friends like Agent Paul Obo who have given support for us to keep going. This tournament has exposed so many talents for bigger club sides. I wish we had more support to make it bigger and better.”
Club owners, referees, and football enthusiasts in Akwa Ibom State have shown great respect for the Immortality FC CEO for his passionate disposition towards grassroots football development in the state.
Some of those who poured encomium on Coach James include Agent Paul of P-Sports Academy who recommends government and corporate citizens to support the pre-season football event in the State.
Interested members of the public and football lovers are invited to watch the 3rd-place and finals from 11 am on Thursday 18 July 2024 immediately after the Akwa United FC screening games at the Uyo Township Stadium.
