Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has expressed his excitement about working under Leicester City’s new manager, Steve Cooper, following the departure of Enzo Maresca to Chelsea.

Steve Cooper, who previously managed Super Eagles attacker Taiwo Awoniyi at Nottingham Forest, has taken over at the King Power Stadium. Cooper’s appointment came after Leicester City decided to bring him in following Maresca’s exit.

Ndidi, who recently committed to Leicester City by signing a new contract that extends his stay until 2027, spoke positively about his initial conversations with Cooper.

“I’ve had a chance to speak with [Steve Cooper]. I spoke to him during the holidays when he came in [as Leicester’s manager],” Ndidi told the club’s official website.
