As part of the on-going internal budget review for 2925 fiscal year by the Akwa Ibom State Ministries, Departments and Agencies, the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Service Commission, Barr. Godwill Umoh, last week, presented the 2025 fiscal blueprint of the Commission to the Ministry of Economic Development.
The exercise, being part of the ongoing internal budget review for 2025 fiscal year by government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), was done at the Conference Room of the Ministry.
Highlighting the content of the budget, Barr. Umoh described the document as a “2025 policy thrust” of the Commission, explaining that the budget is segmented into 10 solid policy frameworks, which will cater for the fiscal responsibilities of the Commission in the said year.
While commending the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno and the Ministry of Economic Development for strengthening the state MDAs for optimum performance, Umoh pledged the Commission’s determination to step up performance given the needed consideration of the budget by the governor.
On his side, the Commissioner for Economic Development, Hon. Emem Bob, while receiving the team, described Barr. Umoh’s visit was a “homecoming”, having hitherto served the Ministry as Hon. Commissioner and expressed the goodwill of the Ministry to the former Commissioner.
Among the delegation of the Commission was the Hon. Commissioner 1, Ubong Idiong; Commissioner 2, Dr. Roberta Edem, Commissioner 3, Obongiwaad Etienne Bob; Commissioner 4, Barr. Godwin Awah.
Others were, the Commission’s Secretary, Elder Sylvanus Akpan, Accountant — Mrs Nkoyo Ukpong, Head of Administration — Mr. Imoh Edidem; Head of PRS — Mrs Uduak Ekpenyong; Head of Information — Mrs Lucy Robert; Head of Protocols Mr. Sandy Emmanuel, among others.
