JOS — A thirty seven years old man, Kenny Aghogho Ighoyivbi, who was kidnapped and have been in there Boko Haram enclave in the forest since November 2020,enduring years of deprevation, suffering, sexual molestation and torturing but later escaped from the Boko Haram stronghold. He was once doused with fuel and set on fire, when he wanted to escape from captivity in 2021. He sustained severe burnt from his lower part of his body.
He was again caught in another crisis in Kwashaslalek village in Mangu Local Government Area in Plateau State, where he went to seek refuge and was ekeing out a living.
Kenny has again escaped the Fulani headsmen and Muslim fanatics onslaught that have claimed the lives of several persons in Mangu LGA and other communities in Plateau State.
A close source, who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity said that, Kenny was born and raised in Kano State. Boko Haram militants invaded their community in November 2020, killed and injured several persons, and abducted several others including Kenny, who lost two of his close friends as they were attacked in their church that fateful day.
He was in the Boko Haram enclave for several years before he escaped and relocated to Kwashaslalek community in Plateau State in October,2023
Kenny is married with wife and five children.
The source said that since the Kano attack, he had not heard from his father, mother and other family members.
Life was gradually returning to normal in Plateau State, until the series of Fulani headsmen attacks in Plateau State
In January,2024, Kwashaslalek, a Christian community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State was attacked by Fulani headsmen and Muslim fanatics at about 1am, while they were sleeping.and over thiry five persons were slaughtered.
The source also reveals that recently the Fulani herders launched another attack on the community and six other neighbouring communities in the Local Government Area resulting in the death of about fifty five persons, several properties and farmlands were burnt and destroyed. While undisclosed number of persons were abduction in the Communities.
The source said that Kenny luckily escaped these attacks by the herders
Since the lastest incident, his whereabouts and that of his family is unknown as he has fled for his life, since is safety and well-being is not guaranteed
