Napoli’s Sporting Director, Cristiano Manna, has confirmed that star striker Victor Osimhen has requested to leave the club, amid ongoing transfer speculation surrounding the Nigerian forward.

Osimhen, the 25-year-old African Footballer of the Year, has been the subject of intense rumors in recent weeks. Despite recently signing a contract extension with Napoli, which includes a substantial £110 million release clause, Osimhen has reportedly expressed his desire to part ways with the Serie A club.

There were rumors of a potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), but the move fell through as the French champions are no longer in the market for a new striker.

As the transfer window nears its close and no resolution has been reached, Osimhen remains with Napoli, leaving his future in limbo.
