Sky Sport Italia reports that Napoli’s Directors are now waiting for Chelsea’s response as they aim to conclude the deal swiftly. This urgency reflects their commitment to securing Lukaku before the transfer window closes.
While Aston Villa is also in the running, prepared to activate Lukaku’s €43 million release clause, the striker has shown a clear preference for reuniting with his former manager, Antonio Conte, at Napoli.
The proposed move comes despite Napoli’s challenge in selling their key forward, Victor Osimhen. Despite Osimhen’s desire to leave, no club has yet matched his €130 million release clause, which is complicating Napoli’s transfer plans.
