Napoli have agreed to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in a deal valued at approximately €45 million.
Antonio Conte, who previously managed Chelsea, has expressed a strong interest in working with the Belgian striker.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea has accepted a €30 million fixed fee with add-ons potentially reaching €15 million, making the total deal worth up to €45 million for a permanent transfer.
Lukaku will sign a three-year contract, valid until June 2027.
With proven Serie A experience from his time at Inter Milan and AS Roma, Lukaku is expected to bolster Napoli’s attacking options.
Napoli, who started the season with a 3-0 loss to Verona, are in need of a new leader upfront after their first-choice striker, Victor Osimhen, expressed his desire to leave the club.
